CLOCKWORK, ULTIMATUM & INTRICKIT DOMINATE BRISBANE SHOWDOWN

September 25

Fresh Elements dance crews Clockwork and Ultimatum took out the Open and Varsity Division last night at the GROOVE BRISBANE Battle in South Bank. The two dynamic dance crews stood out from strong competition, while Krump Studios' very own INTRICKIT won the Junior Division. Clockwork will open up as a major support act for the upcoming TIC TIC Tour this Wednesday night.  GROOVE Brisbane is proudly sponsored by the Coffee Club, Mystique Nightclub and Mint-Dots.

MC Tank and DJ Who got the crowd entertained, with the amusing Tank keeping the crowd in stitches throughout the night with his polyswag humour. During the night, there were freestyle battles held including the whacking/vogueing and hiphop battles, plus the Daddy Dougie dance battle brought the house down. Special guests included singing sensation Ezra James, krump crew Ice Fam & freestylin' rap star Brandon & Roman.

It was a memorable night for GROOVE Brisbane, which made a major turnaround after last year's lacklustre showing. The new management group came up with a different perspective and delivered a spectacular venue, great ensemble of credible judges and a much-clearer vision which was shared to the local Brisbane dancers by HD CEO Marco Selorio during the dancers orientation.

Now, the fifteen Brisbane crews have officially advanced to the next stage - the World Supremacy Battlegrounds Australian Nationals on November 25 in Sydney City.

All we ever had is an annual talent show that is held during National Youth Week, and that's it.
